FAA Registration of Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems
Effective immediately, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requires you to register your Small Unmanned Aircraft System (sUAS), including remote control model aircraft.
Do I need to register my drone, helicopter or airplane?
Yes, if it weighs between 0.55 lbs. (250 grams) and up to 55 lbs. (25 kg). [add the picture from the FAA site here of the drone with the scale]

Drones: Z-10 and Z-Up
Helicopters: XL-8CV
Airplanes: F590

Who can register?
You must be at least 13 years old to register your unmanned aircraft with the FAA. If you are under 13 years old, please have a parent or guardian register for you.
How much does it cost to register?
Registration costs $5 payable by credit card or debit card.
